Junk removal in Elk Grove starts at $125 for a minimum load and runs to $895 for a full trailer, charged flat by the space your items take up — never by the hour. We load everything ourselves and haul it the same visit. Call or text (916) 500-4060.
We are based in Citrus Heights, about thirty minutes south-west of our Citrus Heights yard. You get a firm number before we start, and it does not move if the load turns out heavier than expected.
Flat rate by volume, covering labor, hauling, disposal fees and cleanup.
Current offers: $100 off a full load and 10% off your first pickup. See full pricing, or our guide to what junk removal costs across the metro.
Often yes, and we will say so. Elk Grove residents get three free bulky waste pickups a year, booked by appointment on your regular trash day through Republic Services on (916) 635-2500. The maximum pile is 7 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft — five cubic yards, roughly a pickup bed filled level with the top of the cab.
The limits are where it breaks down. The program excludes dirt, rocks, bricks, tree stumps, commercial waste, household garbage, steel pipes, batteries, liquids and heavy car parts, and lumber must be under 4 inches thick and 5 feet long with fencing disassembled. Go over five cubic yards without arranging it first and crews take the first five and tag the rest. Material also cannot go out more than 24 hours ahead — earlier set-outs risk an illegal dumping citation.

Usable items go to donation through our community partners first, recyclables are pulled next, and only the remainder is landfilled — mostly at Sacramento County's Kiefer Landfill, where mixed waste runs $61.35 per ton as of January 1, 2026 against a $45.00 minimum.
Before paying anyone, including us: Kiefer takes clean inerts (concrete, brick, rock, tile, stucco), clean metals, one to two appliances a day, mattresses on non-business loads, e-waste and up to four passenger tires free of charge from residents. A pickup truck through the gate is $35. If that is your whole load and you can move it, self-hauling is cheaper and we will tell you so.

If your load fits, yes. Elk Grove gives residents three free bulky pickups a year at up to five cubic yards, booked through Republic Services on (916) 635-2500. It excludes dirt, rock, brick, stumps, construction material and household garbage, and lumber must be under 4 inches thick and 5 feet long.
Yes. Heavy and awkward items are included in the flat rate rather than surcharged. Hot tubs are quoted with the demolition on top as one combined number, not two invoices.
Yes, and it is the main gap in every municipal program in this region - they exclude construction material, treated wood, concrete and soil. If your load is clean inerts only, we will tell you it is cheaper to take it to Kiefer yourself.
